How do I know if the MLX fits my UTV’s brush guard?
How do I know if the MLX fits my UTV’s brush guard?
In true modular fashion, the MLX is designed to fit most UTV brush guards. However, to best serve our customers, we are 3D modeling common UTV brush guards, enabling us to show and tell you that the MLX will fit! Please check out our Compatibility & Fitment page here for brush guards we have tested. There is a detailed explanation of proper fitment embedded within the 3D models. We will continuously be updating this list and adding models of a wide range of brush guards.
To be certain of fit for brush guards not currently on this list, please check out the compatibility and fitment portion of the Assembly, Fitment, & Install Guide here. If you have any other questions about fit and compatibility, please contact us!

How does the MLX work? How do I use my MLX and the different implements?
How does the MLX work? How do I use my MLX and the different implements?
The MLX unit hangs onto your vehicle's brush guard and uses your vehicle's front-mounted winch to provide power. After installing the MLX onto your brush guard and hooking it up to your winch according to the Install Guide, you use your winch to raise and lower the MLX.
The implements will be attached in different ways. For example, the ball mount and forks drop into the MLX main unit. The cargo carrier is attached on top of the forks, via a clevis pin.
How do I assemble and install my MLX? How long does it take?
How do I assemble and install my MLX? How long does it take?
When you get your new Mod Lift X, you'll need to assemble it according to our Assembly, Fitment, & Install Guide. It should take about thirty minutes to assemble your MLX. After that, it's quick and easy! Sixty second install, sixty second uninstall.
If you have any questions about the process not answered in the guide, please reach out to us on our Contact page.

Do I need heavier springs on my front end in order to use the MLX?
No. However, if your front shocks are on their softest setting, then the weight of your payload will cause them to depress more than if the front shocks are adjusted to a stiffer setting. See your UTV’s owner manual for instructions on shock adjustment.
How fast can I drive with the MLX on my UTV?
How fast can I drive with the MLX on my UTV?
For safety purposes, we recommend a maximum speed of ten miles per hour while transporting a payload or moving a trailer. Also, always use the safety pins and secure your payload with rope, bungee cords, or other tie down mechanism.
When the MLX is installed but not carrying any payload (or moving a trailer), there are no speed limitations if it is in the upright position, secured with safety pins, and the forks are properly stowed.

Is the MLX waterproof? How do I maintain my MLX?
Is the MLX waterproof? How do I maintain my MLX?
The Mod Lift X is constructed from powder-coated steel. Without a doubt, powder coating is tough (much tougher than regular paint), but we intend for you to be rough with the MLX, and over time the powder coat may chip. When that happens and the steel is exposed to moisture, it will show rust but that will not impact the integrity or functionality of your MLX. If you want to keep your MLX looking new, we suggest using a powder coat touch-up pen, which you can find online.
As for being waterproof, the MLX itself is fully submersible, though please note that attachments with electronic components will not be submersible.
